William Smith account books [manuscript], 1827-1830.

Daybooks, 1827-1829, of an ordinary kept by Captain William Smith at Charlotte Court House, contain entries for the sale of meals and beverages and keeping horses. With these is an indexed ledger, 1830, kept by Thomas C. Smith, for a blacksmith's shop in Charlotte County, Va. The 1829 daybook and the blacksmith ledger contain one entry each for John Randolph of Roanoke.
